Welcome to my website

Hello and welcome to my site. I am Upal Mahbub, currently working as a lecturer in the Department of EEE, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). I have completed my graduation in EEE and I am also enrolled in a Master of Science and Engineering program in Dept. of EEE, BUET.

I love traveling and hanging out with friends. I have much interest about different nations, cultures and languages. During my graduation period I learned german in Goethe Institut Bangladesh and attended the ZD and Test Daf exams. Before being a faculty member of BUET, I also worked as a part time language instructor at Goethe Institut for several months. I find the method of teaching at Goethe Institut very different but much more effective then the general teaching methodologies followed in Bangladesh. I had to go through some training sessions at goethe institut before joining the workforce there. I have learned many great aspects of teaching from those sessions. I love reading novels and story books very much. I also like to see movies and hear musics. I am very much fond of the writings of Tagore.

My research interest is Digital Signal Processing, specially acoustic Echo and Noise Cancellation by adaptive methods. I also love to do system designs using microcontrollers and FPGAs. In BUET, I usually teach Computer and System Design related courses.

This website will contain useful information for the students about the courses taken by me and various other topics. I would also like to share more about myself through this site.
